Commitment period
A stretch of time you set yourself, hard to walk back. There is one way to end it early: contacting support, where a person reviews each request and may decline it. It also ends on its own if your subscription stops and isn't renewed after the grace period.
Accountability partner
You invite someone you trust and they accept themselves — nothing about you reaches them before they do. They're told if protection is switched off, and asked before you disable a feature. And they can step away whenever they like, without your permission.
Deletion guard
Uninstalling Irada itself goes through device admin, so it can't be a decision made in a flash of temper.
Daily time budget
Give each app a share of your day — ninety minutes, say — and when it runs out the app closes until tomorrow. Not a wall; a ceiling you set.
Emergency lock
When the moment gets hard, it locks your phone for as long as you choose — ten minutes, fifteen, thirty, or a stretch you set — leaving only calls and messages. It can't be cancelled before it ends.
New apps
Anything installed after protection is on is blocked by default, until you allow it yourself.
Focus timer
Rounds of work and rest, with the clock running in front of you. A small tool, but it gets you out of “I'll start in a minute”.
Counter and challenge
Set how many days you're challenging yourself and it keeps count. And if you started before the app, set your real date — don't begin again at zero.
Simplified home screen
A launcher with no icons — just the names of the apps you picked, in the order you set. No grid of colour inviting a tap, no notification badge waiting. Make it your home screen whenever you like, and leave it just as easily.
Scroll rounds
You set a round — ten clips, say — then a break. Scrolling gets a beginning and an end instead of running on without one.
App lock
Irada itself opens only with your fingerprint or device code — so whoever picks up your phone cannot touch your settings.
A pause before a factory reset
No app can stop a factory reset, and we say so plainly. But before you go through with one, a pause appears reminding you what you started this for — and your partner is told, if you have one.
Your protection follows your account
Sign in on a new phone and your restrictions come with you in full — you don't start from zero. And your account runs on one device at a time, so it can't be opened on a second without you knowing.
Your writing is kept
Your journal and goals are backed up to your account, so a new phone doesn't cost you them. And you delete your account yourself from inside the app, straight away. During a commitment period or an active partnership it can't be deleted from the app — you ask support to delete it instead, or end the partnership first.
The other half
Denying yourself something is easier than putting something in its place. These work between you and yourself — they block nothing, watch nothing, and your partner never sees them.
Daily writing
Two lines about your day. Two weeks later you read them back and see what the moment hides: when you weaken, and after what.
Dopamine wheel
When the pull is there and you don't know what to do with yourself, spin it and it offers one small thing instead. Because “don't” on its own isn't enough.

Goals with dates, and a record of your progress on each. Deliberately small — habits are built by repetition, not heroics.

What we don't collect
No browsing history, no location, no contacts, no screenshots. We never sell your data, and we don't run a single ad inside the app. Your device's advertising ID is used to measure how well our own ads perform — you can turn it off in Android settings whenever you like.
And your partner accepts first
Nothing about you reaches your accountability partner until they accept the invitation themselves. And they can withdraw whenever they like, without your permission — from a link at the foot of every message they get.

What we don't promise
No Android app can stop you outright. Irada builds strong friction, not an unbreakable wall — and we say so before you install, not after.
- A factory reset can't be prevented. We show a warning and tell your partner. That is the whole of what we can do.
- Protection can be switched off from your device settings. We tell you and we tell your partner — we don't trap you inside a settings screen.
- And no ordinary Android app can disable the home button. Leave the blocking screen and it brings you back — you'll see a flash of your home screen on the way. That's the platform's limit, not a gap in us.
- And Android's Private space and cloned apps are out of Irada's sight: each runs as a separate user on the phone, so nothing opened inside them is blocked, and your partner isn't told. That's a platform limit shared by every app of this kind.
What people ask before installing
What exactly does my partner see?
The kind of event and its time — “protection was switched off”, “request to disable a feature”. Not what you browse, not which apps you open, not your location, and no screenshots.
How does it block without contacting a server?
It reads what's displayed inside the apps you chose, compares it with your list, and discards what it read. The comparison happens entirely on the device: nothing passes through our servers or anyone else's, your location doesn't change, and it doesn't touch your data plan.
Can the protection be bypassed?
Yes, to a degree. Protection can be turned off in device settings, and a factory reset can't be prevented. What Irada does is make going around it a deliberate, drawn-out act — and tell your partner it happened. The friction is the product, not a wall.
What's in “My journey”?
Tools that work between you and yourself, with no blocking in them: daily writing, goals, tasks and habits, an alternatives wheel for when the pull is there, a letter you write to your future self, and a setback log you read later to find the pattern rather than the moment.
What if my partner wants out?
They leave whenever they like, without your permission and with no waiting period, from a link at the foot of every message they receive. And you're told — because your protection keeps running, but it runs unwitnessed, and you have a right to know.
Which languages does it speak?
Six: Arabic, English, Urdu, French, Spanish and Turkish. Arabic and Urdu are laid out right-to-left from the ground up, not translated over a left-to-right design.
What if I install a different browser?
Irada knows every well-known browser and blocks inside them — not Chrome alone. A rare browser outside our list could slip through, and we say so plainly. That is what the "New apps" switch is for: anything installed after you turn protection on is blocked until you allow it yourself — so no door opens that we didn't know about. And any browser we hear of goes into the next update.
Does the simplified home screen replace mine?
Only if you choose it, and Android itself asks before making it your default. You can go back to your original launcher whenever you like from your device settings. None of your apps are removed — the launcher simply shows the ones you picked, and the rest are one tap away under "All apps".
Does it slow the phone down or drain the battery?
Screen reading is limited to the apps you chose, and nothing leaves the device. The cost is in line with any app running in the background.
What happens when my subscription ends?
We will never hold your phone hostage for payment. The free features keep working: three keywords and three apps from your list — the most recent ones you added. The rest is not deleted; it pauses, is marked as paused in the list, and comes back in full the moment you subscribe. If the subscription isn't renewed after the grace period, a commitment period you are in ends, and an accountability partner stays for three days from when the subscription stopped, then is removed unless you renew. And you can switch protection off or uninstall at any time.
